Gilded eagles | freedom 250
washington, DC
Harper House was commissioned to provide the gilding and decorative finishing of 54 monumental eagle sculptures created for Freedom 250, a civic installation commemorating America’s semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary, to be celebrated on July 4, 2026.
Working in collaboration with the fabrication team, Harper House managed the gilding for the large-scale exterior display on the National Mall.
The completed eagles serve as architectural ornament atop the Freedom 250 pavilions in Washington, D.C., demonstrating Harper House’s ability to execute highly specialized decorative finishes at civic scale.
